So I called USCIS today to check on the status of my N-400 and I-751 by using the excuse that I wanted to know if the I-751 and N-400 were going to get processed together.

I was told both my N-400 and I-751 were in my local office pending a final background check. I found it odd since my case was transferred to NBC from WAC, but I never received any notification saying it was transferred to my local office.

Whatever the case, from hearing that, it appears that I will not be getting the card without an interview.

What did they say?

That my case is at my local office along with my  N-400 and that once an officer gets the case he or she will process both cases together.

So I found out recently that if you've already been three years married and approaching your third year of GC, you can apply for your N400 90 days before your third year GC. Meaning if your 3rd year anniversary of GC is in Sept 2021, you can apply in May/June depending when your anniversary is. You can check via here - https://www.uscis.gov/forms/uscis-early-filing-calculator

May 22, 2017 to Mar 10, 2018 - Start of K-1 Visa Process to Point of Entry to USA

Apr 13, 2018 - Marriage

Apr 23, 2018 to Nov 15, 2018 - Start of Adjustment of Status process to Green Card in hand

Hey all,

I still have yet to hear anything about my I-751. It is still stuck on "Fingerprints applied."

However, I received notification that my interview for my N-400 was scheduled today.

I am not sure if they will process my I-751 during that interview because I applied for my N-400 based on military service, and for military based N-400s, an approved ROC is not required.

We will see.
