I guess USCIS heard my whining messages. My 10 years GC just got approved.

Timeline: Filled end of July, transferred to NBC early January, approved today. Like other people, I never got the alert on the biometrics re-use.

Thanks, everyone for the help. I will be in here a few more days in case people have more questions. I will be filling for citizenship in July - when my window opens.

Best

Congratulations!!!! Hope we all hear good news soon 🙏

Congrats... My timeline is very similar to yours.

I don't think I will get my green card approved though. Since I applied for citizenship already, they are probably just going to focus on that application.

Yes, I am doing the N400 in early March, so I might be in the same boat as you.

Nice! The only difference is that since I applied based on military basis, my I-751 does not need to be approved for my N-400 to be approved.

If applying through marriage, the I-751 does need to be approved for the N-400 to be approved.

So I wonder if USCIS is just going to ignore my I-751 altogether and just process the N-400.

I didn't get any notice for fingerprints either. Case was filed September 2020, transferred January 13th and today I got a notification that New Card is being produced. Nothing about fingerprints during the whole process.

As I posted this morning, I got a message of ""We ordered your new card" which in my mind it means approval, but tonight I got "Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken". The fingerprint message normally happens before the order message.

Did you also get a delayed fingerprint message? If so, did you get an approval message after it? Please let me know.

Hi there,

This morning my case status was updated to "Case has been approved." In the afternoon I got the fingerprints notification.

This is the order of updates that I received:

1. New card is being produced

2. Case has been approved

3. Fingerprints were taken

Yeah. It's hard to tell what is happening with these notifications. They are all over the place. Hopefully we will receive our approval letters and cards soon 🤞

So I called USCIS today to check on the status of my N-400 and I-751 by using the excuse that I wanted to know if the I-751 and N-400 were going to get processed together.

I was told both my N-400 and I-751 were in my local office pending a final background check. I found it odd since my case was transferred to NBC from WAC, but I never received any notification saying it was transferred to my local office.

Whatever the case, from hearing that, it appears that I will not be getting the card without an interview.
