F4 - DQ to Interview Time - Islamabad Embassy

I am a F4 case, just received my DQ (Dec 23, 2020) and my embassy is US Embassy, Islamabad, Pakistan. Do we know how long it takes Islamabad Embassy for the interview after the DQ?

F4 visa issuance has been banned for many months now.  Once the ban is lifted by the end of this month (unless it is extended), expect that there will be a long line of F4 cases ahead of yours.  No telling at this point how much time it will take for the embassy to clear their backlog of previously banned visa categories (not just F4) and when they will be ready to schedule you for interview.

Also is your priority date current yet? Not unusual to be DQ before PD is current.

My Priority date is July 2007 - which is still about 5-6 months away as per current progress....

You won’t get an interview notice until your number is current, at the earliest. Possibly later depending on wait time at your particular embassy.

After this ban revoke, what could be the wait time Islamabad Embassy would take considering my DQ (Dec 23) and Priority (July, 2007).

F4 is only current to October 2006 so even without a backlog it would probably be close to a year before your PD would be current and you can interview. You can maybe add on 9 months or so for all those in line ahead of you who got DQ between March when embassies shut down, and when you did. Hard to tell how quickly embassies are going to be able to catch up especially in countries where Covid is still a problem.

Hi Any idea now, how long it will take more. I see the current bulletin highlights Feb 2007, and my priority is Jul 2007, whereas I was DQ in Dec2020. I see F4 visas are being processed at Islamabad Embassy; any confirmation anyone has on it?

One of my relative was DQ in Nov 2019. They are still waiting with PD of march 2007.

Actually F4 is only current to 8 Dec 2006 in the latest visa bulletin https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2021/visa-bulletin-for-june-2021.html so yes both of you will still be waiting for a while for a visa interview.

Do we have any progress now - I've not heard on my case though as mine is July 2007 and current is Mar 2007.

There are huge backlogs at many embassies. I’d suggest you try find a local forum (sometimes there are discussion in the regional forums section of VJ) to see what DQ dates are currently getting interviews.

Visa applied in September 2006(F4)

hello I'm DQ from 13 Jan 2021 and PD Oct 2006 (F41) from Lebanon and still waiting for the NVC to schedule my appointment any ideas guys for how long should we wait more.
