Will NVC accept NBI clearance that has multi purpose clearance?  or does it need to indicate its for travel?

Good to know, because I was lecturing my spouse (opps Fiance)  like...  "NEED AKA letters, they don't know what they are talking about".   They told her since she never been married don't need AKA. So its called multi purpose NBI .  Is is recommended still that its sent to embassy or carry in yourself?

Thanks!!

My wife's NBI did not say AKA on the actual certificate, but she did add an AKA online when she submitted her name when requesting it. The embassy didn't mention anything about it. She passed her interview this week. She had never been married before and never made any changes on her birth certificate.

The embassy states, "Please note that an NBI Clearance with an AKA is also required."
I think this means just add an AKA online when you are filling out the request form, but an AKA doesn't have to show up on the printed certificate they give you if you have no prior marriages or if you didn't modify your birth certificate.

You are K-1 .. hand carry to interview.   Unless there was a name change of some sort AKA not necessary
