COVID-19 questionnaire and travel between states?

Hey,

 

I wonder if we are allowed to travel and fly between states within the US just before the interview?

 

My gf wants to go visit her family in Florida, and we are getting tested, are reasonably careful, plus are wearing N-95 masks all the way when we travel, but I wonder if this will be asked at the interview?

wont be asked but most states required people who come from other states to self quarantine.

OP mentioned Florida and there is no requirement there: https://floridahealthcovid19.gov/travelers/ In other thread, OP said they live in Texas and there is also no requirement there: https://www.dshs.texas.gov/coronavirus/travelers.aspx

Last I looked states are still part of the USA. Unless Florida seceded.

Hi. What about other countries? Im getting worried now. I'm out of the country for the holidays mostly but left late October for Sweden 😳 Where can i find information about this? My interview is January 7th and i arrive January 5th .

Just update the current trip dates at the interview. It's not an issue since your trip is way less than 180 days.

Thanks for the replies! I've just went through the interview process.

 

When checking in, they did say "Did anyone travel outside of the US in the last 14 days?" to the group of people waiting for an interview. No one replied. "If you did travel, you have to quarantine for 14 days."  (I think he was talking about the CDC recommendations) And "If you do, it's going to show up in your past history and you have to be rescheduled, so better tell now." No one still replied. And he asked again "Did anyone travel in the last 14 days?" (without the outside of the US but I think he still meant outside of the US - Couple of people didn't seem to speak English in our group.). 

 

It still a little confusing as there is no clear guideline.

You might want to reschedule in case they ask your group what they asked OP's group.

I already booked my ticket so i'll go there and see. what state was this?

I just looked at my appointment notice and it does say i have to quarantine or not go to the interview if  have travelled within 14 days :( so i just had to call them. This really sucks big time , but it is what it is. I didn't even read that part , i was so excited when i got the interview scheduled , oh well. The tier did say they've been rescheduling pretty quick so 🤞

It was in Texas.

 

That sucks I am sorry! If that brings any consolations, TX location wasn't doing same day oath ceremony during the holiday time when they were usually doing so. So you might get the actual citizenship actually faster!

Yeah, just have to wait for the new notice and hope for the best 😏
