It's actually very obvious they are refusing to process cases. Stating they are just now getting to Sept 2020 is evidence of this. I don't see this as process. I hate to be Debbie Downer :) .

Well, I mean, I've seen cases up to dec 2020 sent to the embassy today so it does seem like process to me. It appears that they made cr1s a priority for clearing the backlog and are now asking for more kr1s. I'm as frustrated as anyone with the waiting but I dont see how you can say that this isn't good news. Most of us were prepared to wait 1 yr or more for our case to be sent to the embassy and if they are asking for december cases, that means the wait is down to 8 months. If they continue to ask for cases like they did this month, then that wait could be even less. Just trying to clear any misunderstandings because in this thread I've seen people saying the embassy isn't asking for cases and is refusing to process kr1s. Today's batch of cases being sent to the embassy seems to be good evidence that they are asking for cases and they are working on clearing the backlog.

Ditto. I don’t see how you don’t see what happened today as a clear sign that they are processing visas. They were probably prioritizing clearing the CR1 backlog first.

I find the wait times unacceptable and I’m not happy about it. In fact, I’m mad as hell. We are have hundreds of thousands of illegals being processed at record speeds. With no fees paid or wait times required.

They processed 40 K visas in June. However hundreds of business visas which are not considered a priority. I guess business visas don’t cause “Covid” issues.

So, I don’t see this as a sign of anything. They should be processing 40 per day! Not 40 a month. How many illegals are being processed a day? Hundreds.

Not trying to talk down to you or anything. We are all in the same boat, but I’m just very pessimistic on this issue. No solutions are being offered and there is no transparency at all. We are better than this. I’m very disappointed on how our government is dealing with this.

Yup it sucks that we all had to go through this with Covid, and yes they haven’t done a good job in handling any of these things. And legal immigration has always been at the bottom of the barrel priority wise for both political parties as it doesn’t generate any headlines.

However if you think that them pulling cases from NOA2 November/December isn’t a sign that things are improving, then I am sorry you are so pessimistic about this that you cannot see this as progress. There are many embassies (including our original in Moscow) that aren’t even processing K1s.

And not sure what the situation at the southern border has to do with the capacity for the US embassy in Bogota to conduct interviews.

You can also thank the Colombian government as well for their horrible handling of the pandemic and all of the social unrest in the spring, as I’m sure that further delayed things.

Check your cases everyone. Not sure where you guys are hearing that the embassy isn't asking for cases but in the whatsapp group some folks with noa2s of Sept 2020 had their cases changed to in transit today. Seems like hopefully we are seeing some movement!

Hi... Can anyone give me the information to get into the whatsapp group? Please?

"And not sure what the situation at the southern border has to do with the capacity for the US embassy in Bogota to conduct interviews" What does the situation at the southern border have to do with Bogota? Hypocrisy. And it's appalling. Covid does not apply to illegal immigration, but does for legal immigration. That's the issue. Processing is not canceled at the border.

If in fact Bogota is so slow. I wouldn't know how to check. Is it possible to move our case to another embassy like Mexico? We got our NOA2 at the end of July. About how long will we be at the NVC?

Hi Guys, our petition was sent to the NVC at the end of July 2021. What is a ballpark estimate of when the file will be sent to the Bogota Embassy? Thanks in advance.

No one knows for sure. They just sent december 2020 so that's about 7 months before you. So maybe your case will be sent in 7 months. However, if they continue to ask for 3 months worth of cases at a time like they did this month, it could be in 3 months. No way to know for sure right now.
