We wrote them up and all they needed to do was sign the witness statements,

That is why many people say witness affidavits are of little value.

Hey Hank. I was just gonna ask you about the tax transcript that I need to include in my packet. My 2 yr gc is going to expire March 20 2021 , but by this time, dec.2020 I only have the 2019 joint income tax return since we can't file yet until next yr Jan. or Feb. I am confuse as to wait for the 2020 tax return or just send the 2019 alone. I am anxious  too because  I want to send my packet ASAP. but I also want to include the joint income tax for 2020. So I need an insight  on this matter. Thank you ! Or anyone have the same experience as mine, I'll  appreciate your insights. Thnx

If the only joint tax return you have is for 2019 then that is all you can send .. can't send the 2020 return until its filed  ;)  .     Being the I-751 is normally filed 90 days before the expiration date ..

Hopefully you have a lot more evidence than a tax return

Do you think it will be okay to wait until like February until I could get my tax return? My 90 days window for filing  is until March 20 of next year? I'm  just anxious because  I know they need the 2 yr return but if I wait too long to send my packet then my time will run out.

How long does it usually take to get the transcript after it's  filed?

Not sure how long it takes for the tax return to be entered into the system to be able to receive a transcript.

Yeah I do have quite a lot,  I just don't  want to take chances anymore like last time when I filed for cr1 . Also my husband's checking account where he added me and is our main account has his mom's  name on it because  he made that account wayyy back. So when we tried to take his mom's name there, they said it can't  be undone. But she can't get into that account  now since we remove her but her name is still on the statements that I printed . I don't  know if that is okay though.

Also our address in the bank statements was our previous  address  before we moved into the house that we just bought.

I agree

But in our case it was the key to success

You just got to play the game with USCIS.  As I said I was stringent and went by the books and gave them all they needed for the K1, I was uptight about getting approval and a little uptight the day of interview.

But once we got on US soil I gave USCIS the middle finger, and I no longer cared about all their rules/regulations. I knew once she was in my home it was a done deal
