Hi everyone! I have got my K1 visa early this month and planning to fly next year February. From Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to Los Angeles, California.

I am planning to fly with Cathay Pacific (transiting in Hong Kong). Has anyone flew to America with Cathay Pacific?

Or any airlines would you guys recommend during Covid?

Congratulations on obtaining your visa!

Much can happen between now and February 2021, and travel restrictions can change on short notice. I have not heard of any travel ban applicable to your preferred routing, but it will be prudent to find a non-stop/direct flight that gets you on US soil as soon as possible, without needing to transit through a third country.

If you are set on Cathay Pacific, and to avoid any nasty surprises, best to regularly monitor the IATA COVID-19 Travel Regulations Map and Cathay Pacific Worldwide Travel Restriction  pages.

Hope you're reunited with your fiancé soon!

Thanks for your response! It seems like as long as im not travelling from the banned countries I should be fine. Will definitely keep an eye out.

Is there any other regulations/ requirements to enter the US? other than the banned countries.

I have flown on Cathay Pacific from  England to Hong Kong, It was a huge airline with huge seats, Food was very good.

I then took Cathay Pacific from Philippines to Hong Kong and it was a dump, lots of broken things on the plane like headphone jacks, seat backs and trays.

I would take them again long flight, I would hesitate taking them out of or into Philippines.

Hi Jackie,

May I ask when you exited Malaysia did you have to apply for My Travel Pass or any kind of approval from Malaysia Immigration? Thank you!

Jane

Hi Jane, yes I need to apply approval from

Malaysia immigration to exit malaysia. You can go to my travel pass to apply for approval. Hope this helps!
