yes, the embassy called my husband on Feb 9. we sent in the passport and we are still waiting.

Well that’s good, some movement at least. When did they receive the passport? Did your ceac status update at all since then?

In how many days does the medical expire? If you still have 2-3 weeks left on it, you can email them and ask if they can advise if they are ready to print the visa and return the passport so the applicant can travel before the expiration date, or if a new medical needs to be done.

i did email them and i dont think they read the emails. because they are replying with the status before the AP was finished and i am not asking about the status. they are just copy pasting

Then write an email that they can't do a standard response for :) Explain that the Visa Unit called on Feb 9 to drop off the passport, that passport was dropped off on Feb 17th, that medical is expiring on Day X and if they could please let you know if the visa can be issued on time for the applicant to travel. I would also email this to both email addresses, the one they gave you on the 221g and the support-amman@ustraveldocs.com.

i did email ammaniv@state.gov as well but no reply. Embassy in Amman is horrible with that. no one can get a hold of them.

The “currently undergoing administrative processing” response? That’s so weird. Wondering why they would request the passport if AP is not completed

Same thing happened to me, but in Turkey instead of Jordan. I wonder if for some reason this is happening to others all over mid east?
