This is actually wrong sir. You will be fine for sponsorship purposes with foreign income. I did this back a couple years back when I petitioned my wife while working in Afghanistan. But do not be surprised if you or your wife are asked what you plan to do when you move back to the USA.

So apparently the NVC didn't like it even though now they are also asking for current paystubs and proof of current employment letter.  I guess we shall see who is correct. 🤪

Current income for the OP is only going to matter if the income will continue once they move to the USA.  As the OP has stated there is a relocation letter in the works, then they can provide that, however if this income is not continuing, then it cannot be used.

So with so many moving parts here, I am wondering what will come first - my relocation letter, the visa interview, the vaccine etc...  I am fairly certain the consular officer will understand especially if i show another i864 proving assets over the amount for a household of two...

The whole situation seems ridiculous and I'd like to assume the interviewer will use common sense based on my background.

if the USC moves to the US and starts working before the pending immigrant's visa interview, then take current pay stubs, W2s, etc. to the interview.

Thanks but this will most definitely NOT happen considering I am living in Israel with my wife for the past 5 years and will only move together(obviously when she is granted the IR1 visa).

The wording of your notice indicates you are in the queue.  If you'll have the relocation letter soon, I would wait for it, then replace your affidavit of support and supporting documents with a new one.  All the past tax return information should be $0.  That's just informational and not a problem, once you properly state and document your current income.  Your relocation letter, should show what your income will be in the US.  That is your "current income" in this context.  Adding and documenting liquid assets is a bonus.

Thank you pushbrk although by queue I am not sure which one?  NVC did not yet send to the embassy according to the file although i will call this week to double check.  So you are saying regardless of assets which i posses to cover in a new form, I should wait for this official relocation letter regardless?

Cheers!

In the queue for an interview.  At least, that wording means your I-864 will not delay you getting in the queue.  There's no reason to submit two new affidavits between now and the interview.  One, once you have the relocation letter will do just fine.

Got it.  Thanks buddy.

I'll touch base with this thread in a couple of months to give an update considering the Jerusalem embassy is only doing emergency requests at this time.

Assets that are well documented should hopefully work for you.
