Joint sponsor as household member in i-944?

Hello,

I received an RFE for my i-944 and am currently filling it out. For "household size" we should include the beneficiary filling out the i-944 and myself (her spouse) - 2.

My father, who listed me as a dependent, is also our joint sponsor and filled out an i-864. Do we include him and his income as part of our household in the i-944? The instructions state that someone who lists you as a dependent should be included. But I am the spousal household member, not the declarant. The declarant is not listed as a dependent anywhere.

Thanks!

Hi Tymani,

Did you figure out what to do?

I'm in the same situation as your right now, me being the petitioner and my father (who has listed me as a dependent) filling an i-864.

I really appreciate your response!

We filed with the household size of "2" and didn't include his income as household income. Everything is moving smoothly so far. It should be just fine as long as you either meet the income requirement or have a joint-sponsor, like we did.

Good luck!
