Point taken. Thanks for the advice. I agree that the best way to handle a troll, is to just ignore them.

So did you decide on ignoring or passive aggressive insults? Oh, wait, I see, it's the insults. Good choice, nice to see you're not better than those you abhor after all.

How can one claim God cares to judge a fornicator over judging a lying, conniving bully? I guess you would if you are the lying, conniving bully.

Why is it when someone doesn't like a post (what is said, how it is said etc), that person is called a troll? Yet when people just post kisses and hugs, they are seen as sincere caring people. Caring about people, caring about the world means sometmes calling out the truth as you see it. Why is tehre such a high expectation that there will be no disagreement? it's a public forum not your own private sewing circle.

Dude, whatever peezey was doing on this thread was not trolling.

She disagreed with someone, had the facts about Islamic marriage to back it up, and was posting (as did other people) to correct the idea that if a Muslim guy says 'you're being a bad wife for not supporting me, sugar mama, I will not call you' it's just his religion talking and not something any American woman should put up with on account of cultural differences.

sewing circle. LOL

i do agree with you. we can't always agree here and only cheer people on with kitties and lollipops...but there are ways to go about disagreeing with people. ways with tact and humanity. ways in which i see here often from some members but not from another who lately seems to only come out of the woodwork when its time to put someone down or disagree with them usually in a condescending and rude way. debates are one thing, but this is another...

the troll comment though..well i guess the definition of troll has been used loosely there. thats not my opinion of what a troll is.

I am with you 100% that there are good ways to go about disagreeing. But I can not expect everyone to post in what I think is an acceptable style any more than I can expect posters not to post things I find offensive, repulsive and just plain wacky. I know we are presenting ourselves in a small limited way- that's the nature of a message board- but some of us are here long enough that we can get to know a bit more abou tthe posters other than just the words that are posted.

Sometimes the way things appear are simply something else.

Just a quick question for all the American women, did you pay for your plane ticket over to see your love, or did he pay for you? I understand they are from poor countries, but I am not that rich either, and not a sugar mama. Just really interested, because I have a husband in Egypt, whom I never talked to, but I paid for the plane ticket to see him and now i am paying all of this off working myself to an early grave. I guess I am a little old fashion and would like the man to take care of some of this, but maybe that is not the way things work. So please share with me who pays for what and did you feel kinda of mad if you have to pay all the bills, is it almost like buying a husband. That is how i feel now.

He paid what he could while he was there and working full-time. I paid the remainder while working a full and part-time job. Now, he works here full-time and is helping me dig out of the hole we are in.

If it is truly a relationship and has long term potential, then what is the difference who paid what? It's all about sharing everything. Sometimes one person pays the lion's share. But, what comes around goes around and in the end, it all works out.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip
