I've received an RFE from Nebraska, wanting to see further documentation of my name change (probably catching on to a mistake made by my AoS adjudicator there) and certified copies of all my leases and mortgages. This is turning out to be a massive problem - the originals are on file with the owners of the apartments I've lived in, I only /have/ copies, and my former landlords are less than willing to cooperate. I've sent in "regular" copies and hope that's sufficient, but as I'd like to be prepared for the worst case - other than talking to an immigration lawyer, what would my next steps be if they decide to deny me?

Sometime 2002: Met on www.rondaksportal.com, started talking

March 2004: Visited Kim for the first time

July 2004: Visited Kim again - and she's not going to let me go back.

2004-08-06: Married

2004-09-21: Sent AoS and EAD applications to Portland DO

2004-09-24: Money orders cashed

2004-10-15: Fingerprinting for AoS

2004-11-04: EAD issued

2004-12-03: Received interview date

2005-01-04: Interview - adjusted to conditional resident

2006-11-06: Filing for lifting of conditions

2007-06-25: RFE from Nebraska

2007-06-26: Mailed requested evidence

2007-07-02: Card production ordered

I am sorry I can't help I am getting ready to send my package and I dont have my name changed officially (not with s.s, or work )I thought i would wait to renew it with my next nursing licences Due Jan 2008 I did change it with bank, drivers licence, because they insisted on it..my husband is from Jordan the name is hard to say and I am forever having to sign my name..my married last name is also listed on our son's birth record.

Have you been married before this? my friend had and she had to provide info that she was divorced ..it sounds like they are wanting more info that you and your spouse have a real marriage because many people dont even turn in any mortgages or leases..i think you should also give them more information to proof you and your spouse share your life together with pictures maybe letters from others, joint account info from bank..anything on the list plus what they requested,Starr
