Not yet because I feel like it might be strange to ask about it before I get NOA2. But I'm still worried about them opening

Maybe someone else who is farther along can ask? Has anyone got NOA2 yet?

HI! I was reading this thread, hoping for some ideas, but it looks like we all have the same information. My husband's been approved since early September 2020 for his Visa Interview in Moscow, it was a nice comfort just to read the posts here and not feel alone (or like I'm doing something wrong). I actually have been calling (doesn't work) and the e-mailing, just because I can't help myself haha. I did get an answer back via e-mail, but it was no new information.

This was the answer I had, on December 10th 2020,

"Thank you for your inquiry. Routine immigrant and nonimmigrant visa operations remain suspended. We are not processing immigrant visa at this time. Please follow up when routine immigrant visa operations resume.  There is no action for you to take now.

We will resume routine visa services as soon as possible but are unable to provide a specific date at this time. "

I know it's not really helpful, but that's what I have to share.

@BellsedaWooahh! Have you been staying in Russia since before the pandemic started? If not how did you manage to get here? You are so lucky!

We've been lucky enough to spend 4 months together in Turkey, Serbia and Montenegro last summer/fall after considering every option to get him to Russia. Having such an opportunity is a big privilige. Can't imagine being apart for as long as some people from here have to 😕

Yeah I've been apart from my fiance for ten months now. We are trying to figure out a way to meet but now that there is testing required to get back into the states it makes it a bit more difficult trying to get tested in a foreign country before coming home

Hi! Turkey is a great place to meet, I have family in Instanbul.

To answer your question (and millefleur's) I have a 3-year tourist Visa renewed in 2019. I've been here awhile (trying to get a Temporary Residence permit >.<;). I can stay 180 days on my tourist visa, and then need to exit, usually I exit to Finland or Georgia but since Corona began and they closed, I exit to Turkey. I'm married, so I can enter Russia with my marriage certificate and a valid tourist visa.

Yeah we spent around $800 on testing total throughout out vacation. Most expensive and complicated testing was in Serbia (120 euro per person) Turkey didn't require a test. In Montenegro we got tested for 80 euro per person. I highly recommend Turkey! Istanbul was awesome. Montenegro was really good as well although Russians have to exit every 30 days.

Well I don't want to go to turkey because it says if you get tested there and you are positive they will make you go to a hospital or something and that's scary.

What was complicated about serbia testing?
