For cr/ir visa you can at least request a transfer to Poland or Kazakhstan. Bunch of people did it and everything was good

Thanks, but unfortunately it's not really possible. First, we won't be able to return to Russia as we're foreign citizens and we have full time jobs with one of our visas expiring in June so it would make things tricky. I also read that you need to be a resident of the transfering country?

Eventially Poland agreed to take cases from Russia without conditions and also I heard about 1 successful story of transferring to Kazakhstan (again, without conditions of residency)

If I were you I'd try to expedite due to your circumstances

A little update

I know that a couple of girls on k-1 from Russia got accepted by the consulate in Warsaw last week , but someone recently wrote that they got rejected because they "don't have capacity right now to handle k cases for residents of Russia". Maybe it's worth trying to write them later...

Sorry,  I can't edit, made a typo

"Someone who recently wrote got rejected"

I've seen two people get rejected now because of capacity

Yeah, so they (I mean Warsaw consulate) were "nice" only for approx week since that k-1 news came out. People who wrote to them first got lucky.

But again, maybe it makes sense to try writing them later to give them time to deal with their own backlog.

I’m curious. The people that were able to reschedule with another embassy, were they able to do their medical in their home country, or must it be done in the same country that they interview in??

I would also consider Ukraine, or Kazakhstan if Moscow can’t get their ball rolling.

From what I understand, the medical must be done in the country of interview. The CR1s/ IR1s that transferred to Poland had to go to a Polish clinic that didn't speak much English or Russian so I think there was some issues with that, lol.

Found love, thought I wanted this path, two years later realized my partner was not worth all the stress 😁

I had my interview in Warsaw but did my medical in Minsk, Belarus. I don’t know how it works for russian citizens.

What a very very long wait. I met my fiancee for 17 days in Turkey. What a great and exciting trip! We are already getting tired of waiting for the next steps. I only got my NOA2. I just keep waiting or can I call/email the NVC office? Also, I'm interesting in hearing how we can transfer our case to other countries such as Kazakhstan, Poland etc.
