Has anyone recently tried to pay the MRV fee? I'm having trouble finding where exactly i can pay the fee. Or is it better for my fiance to pay the fee at the bank in person? I've searched all over and can't seem to find any recent information. Thank you all for your help!

If it is handled similarly to Ukraine, then the Russian fiance pays it in person at the designated bank.  Or you could if you are current with him/her in Russia.

The instructions on UStraveldocs site for Russia should explain the process of filing out the DS-160 and paying the MRV fee.

For Ukraine there are deposit slips printed from the website to take to the bank based on the class of visa (K1).  There are different DS-160 fees for the various visas and you need to pay the correct amount for K1.  Both the deposit slip and payment receipt have a validity period due to fluctuating exchange rates.

Back in Jan 2019, you could pay with a credit card online in Moscow (so I was able to pay directly rather than sending Anastasia money).

Don't remember exactly how it worked, though.

This is within the list of documents you must bring to the interview, so it looks like you pay at the embassy Here is the link https://ru.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee-visa/the-interview/

Yeah, I tried to pay online with a credit card but for some reason I could not find anything definitive. We were able to print the deposit slip finally and she took it to the bank. Now we are waiting for it to register in the system so we can attempt to schedule interview. I know they aren't really moving right now but in due time things will start to move. Thanks for your help!

Will do! I have one question. When we completed the DS-160 we didn't put her middle name because it only asked for her first and last name. On the receipt to pay for the interview they included her middle name will we have to fill out another DS-160 and pay again because of this?
