It is up to embassies/consulates for hard-copy of tax returns, in Ho Chi Minh city, they won’t proceed the interview without current tax documents.

We had submitted 2018 tax papers on CEAC. But my wife had interview this month. Will CO will ask for recent tax papers. If so, should i upload on CEAC or wait for CO to ask for it?

Upload them and also give your wife hard copies to take with her to the interview. Mine was uploaded but I also took copies to the interview it was the first documents collected from me even before I met with the CO.

Like other posted said. It wouldn't hurt.

All the best.

You should give her the most recent tax transcript. And W2s.  And also upload it too.

There was a post here some days back about a lady that was placed on administrative processing because of the tax transcript. The husband said it was uploaded but the CO said couldn't find it. If that lady were to take the hard copies. She would have just handed them to the CO right there.

So upload all you need to upload but  also give your wife the most recent tax transcript and W2s copies to take along with her to interview

I’m not sure what CEAC is and how to upload the documents? I wasn’t aware that anything had to be uploaded, I’ve only been gathering documents for my fiancé to take to her eventual interview.

CEAC is the site for document uploads for NVC review for immigrant visa processing.  No CEAC upload for K1.

Is that done at the request of the NVC or can I start uploading documents prior to my fiancé’s interview? Is it necessary to do?

Not necessary for K1.  Documents must be brought to the interview.  No uploads to CEAC.
