EAD delays if filed separately?

We filed our EAD back in March (in the second week), on the basis of a K3 visa, and the case is still "pending" at VSC where the case was transferred to. We filed only the EAD first, and then later filed for the AOS separately about a month later.

Seems like folks have been pretty regularly getting their EAD approved in the specified 90 or less days timeframe, while our application somehow seems stuck.

There's this thread from a few days ago (http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=74224) where the OP has had a similar experience, but has got the approval after 5 months! Is this a known trend or something that if you file for EAD alone, your application does not get approved within the suggested 90 day period?

By the way, how common is it for EAD applications to get transferred to service centers?

Any help in clarifying is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

EADs getting transferred appears to be getting more common. Until a few months ago I had never heard of it but that it has happened to lots of people here recently.

JessiPooh.... I also filed for EAD on its own and then filed for AOS about 2 weeks later. My EAD was transfered to CSC on 30th May which was rec'vd as pending as from June 5th then the day of my Biometrics June 18th i got an email stating that my EAD was then transfered to another office for processing. I dont even know what office it has been sent to, havent even had the transfer notice in the snail mail yet, for all i know its stuck under the leg of a desk somewhere holding it up  or some daft beggar spilt their coffee on it..hehehehe... i just wish i knew where it had been sent to, VSC (i'd understand then why its taking so long to arrive at its destination) if its gone back to MSC then its obviously gone the scenic route

no movement on my AOS/EAD since the post biometrics touch 19th June.

Maria

Leney, I hope we can get enough responses from the forumers who have filed the EAD alone to understand if there is any pattern. I hope you get yours approved on time. Our application has been pending for a long time now, and unfortunately we desperately need our EAD and it is just agonizing and painful to see the days go by with nothing positive happening.

JessiPooh, we tried the customer service via phone, and the info pass, and unfortunately the people we spoke to didn't really understand the status of the case either. We were even at one point told that our EAD has been denied, even though we haven't received any such notification, nor does the online status says so. So it remains to be seen.

MariaDane, thanks for your response.

I'm hoping to hear more responses from people who are in a similar situation. Also if anyone else has any other thoughts? Just trying to get some answers while going through this miserable uncertainty..
