Yes...as well as spouses and others who are exempt from the travel ban.  I am sorry for this situation..

Did I understand you right that if spouse of US citizen flies to the States thru say, Amsterdam, they are exempt from the ban and will be able to board the plane?

Does airline require marriage license and a copy of US passport or CR1/IR1 visa says enough?

Thanks

Correct.  I would certainly be prepared to show a marriage certificate and a copy of the US citizen passport.

The more documentation presented, the better: https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/u-s-visa-and-travel-faqs/

If you travel, please follow the steps below:

  • Do not attempt to check in for your flight online if you have an ESTA registration.
  • Arrive early for your flight.
  • Carry any documentation that you believe demonstrates why you have been excepted from a travel restriction, such as a Permanent Resident Card (commonly known as a Green Card), a marriage certificate, or a birth certificate.
  • You may also wish to carry a printed copy of the Presidential Proclamation itself.
  • Your status will be reviewed in consultation with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials. Please note that smaller airports may not have CBP officials on site.

I would not assume an airline employee would understand the nuances of a CR/IR1 vs any other type of immigrant visa. Make sure you have the marriage certificate and proof that spouse is a USC.

That had nothing to do with it. I did never apply for a NIE

Your thread literally says you did though.

No i didn’t. They stated on their website that all K1s get a nie then took it back. I never applied for one. Period.

Once he gets back to Morocco, he'll need to wait 14 days (because he's now been in Spain within 14 days of entering the US). Try a flight from Morocco to either Mexico or Turkey. From the, you can get a direct to the US.

As already mentioned, there are 2 nonstop options:

  • Casablanca to JFK
  • Casablanca to Washington DC (Dulles International Airport)

He's already in Morocco. The last day he touched Spanish soil was Dec. 15th.

Curious to know how this is going

especially with the new 3 week lockdown in Morocco (December 24th)

Are you able to bring him in?

there are 3 new K1 interviews scheduled on the Morocco portal page here and i think they all need this information

so,  anything you can pass on to VJ members and Morocco people is much needed

That's not good news. The plan last mentioned on this thread was a flight departing Morocco on Dec. 30, because of the 14 day quarantine. And I remember OP mentioned the K1 visa expiring soon... I hope the second attempt to travel will go much better.

The curfew is only from 9PM to 6AM. Even then, night international flights are still occurring from CMN.
