Withdrawal and then Re-Submitted I-130?

Hey everyone,

Just curious if anyone has experience where they previously withdrew an I-130 and then re-submitted down the line? My spouse and I have been married for over a year now and this first year has been very difficult on us as a long distance couple, the current pandemic, all on top of normal marriage arguments, and not to mention we are a young couple. It got to us eventually, and we actually withdrew our first petition. We've been able to work on things individually and then together, so we went ahead and submitted the I-130 again. I imagine the interview will now be slightly harder due to questions of "Well, why was it called off the first time", "What makes you think it'll work this time", and etc. Looking for any feedback from the same or similar situations, thanks!

What reason did you give when you withdrew the petition?

Irreconcilable differences, and that we're in the process of filling for divorce. However, no papers were ever filed or even started on either end  No further explanation was provided beyond that. Lawyers had prepared the withdrawal notice as we had lawyers the first go around.

Then yes, it will come up at interview for sure, but just tell the truth.  This kind of thing happens with couples fairly often.  Suddenly what is irreconcilable, gets reconciled.

I figured as much, but peace of mind always helps. I'm sure they have dealt with plenty of similar cases. Thanks!
