Hello everyone,

I've noticed some people are still able to schedule an interview appointment with the Buenas Aires embassy and are also getting approved.  I am wondering how people are getting scheduled when the embassy site states due to covid 19, visa processing are suspended until further notice?.. .   My fiancée was supposed to get her interview back in early March 2020 but due to covid, is unable to get an appointment setup.  Now all the medical exams and the petition are expired.  We had everything ready to schedule an appointment.  I sent an email to the embassy requesting assistance and they replied with the following:

“Hello,

Thank you for your email. Please note that the consular section is only processing emergency visas at the moment. Consequently, we are unable to schedule K1 visa interviews until routine visa processing resumes.  As a general rule, the I-129F petition has a 4 month validity period. If an I-129F has expired, it can be revalidated by the consular officer at the time of the visa interview provided the delay in the process is justified.  If the medical has expired, unfortunately, you will need to take the exam again and pay the medical exam fee. We strongly recommend that you wait to schedule the medical exam until you have a confirmed interview date. “

I have been monitoring their website for updates constantly but nothing has changed.  I am beginning to worry that I will have to restart this entire process all over again.  So, anyone (specifically those in Argentina) have Any insight, it would be greatly appreciated!

No one has answered. so I will give my opinion. in Honduras same thing not processing visas. But a few are getting a Visa due to expidiated reasons. Which you can request if for a expidiated interview with supporting documents. as of the Visa expiring everyone is in the same situation therefore there is no approvals being expired at this time due to covid.

Those that you see that are receiving visas are those who have expedited cases or are CR-1/IR-1 visa holders.  Also, the answer to your question is in the reply from the embassy that received.

"Please note that the consular section is only processing emergency visas at the moment".
