Another warning for cross border drivers

The friend who sent this to me is associated with law enforcement in Chatham-Kent. Please share this information with those who cross the border and may find themselves in this situation. The border involved is the Ambassador Bridge at Detroit, Michigan-Windsor, Ontario but it is a consideration for all border crossings.

FRIENDS THAT DO - A Warning to Cross Border Shoppers

A lady was driving back from shopping on Eureka Road with her Sister

and children, and noticed that the same car had been following them

for a while.

The car continued to follow them all the way back to the bridge and

even queued up behind them in line for customs. Luckily, she was on the ball.

When she pulled up to the customs officer she mentioned to them that

the car behind them had been following them the entire trip from the

shopping mall.

The clerk told her that she was going to have to have them pull in

for inspection, and that she was going to pull this other car in as well.

So here's the deal. When the inspectors looked in and around her car,

they found that drugs had been stuffed into the undercarriage. The

inspectors told her that this is happening more often. The Drug

dealers find a vehicle with Ontario plates parked at the mall, they

stash the drugs and stake out the vehicle. They follow the car across

the border and retrieve the drugs as soon as the car is left alone.

If the car is stopped at the border, it's someone e lse who is

arrested.

This is not a joke. Please pass this on to anyone you feel will benefit.

Thanks, I didn't even think of checking it out on Snopes since it was forwarded to me from someone in police protection services who lives in the same area as the officer listed on the warning. Ah well! Hmm - they checked with Buffalo - not Windsor-Detroit . . maybe . . . ok, I'll let it go.

Well after reading that it could happen. I got pulled over in montana the last trip(i wasn't speeding) the officer said he noticed my plates were manitoba and then said your windshield is cracked. well after running plates etc and making small talk he said he spent 5 years of hell at st Johns school. He then asked me to exit the car and talk to him he asked if i had anything to tell him about whats in my car i said no. he said ok i just wanted to see your reaction as i had been in spokane and that i was in the meth corridor to winnipeg.He also told me I had expired plates, but when i got home i found that not to be true.very very weird. just thought you'd enjoy the story.
