Hi! I already submitted all the paperwork for my parents. Per the email, they said that they will get a letter as to when will they have their interview? My mom also did not receive the first welcome letter notifying her that hers was approved and my dad received his. Is that letter as significant as the letter that contains the interview date? How can we request for the first letter my mom did not get? Thank you.

IR-5 visa issuing is currently suspended. So an interview won’t be happening until the proclamation ends or is replaced and IR-5s can be issued again.

gotcha. So they are approving it but interviews are still suspended? So basically still wait for NVC's email when they get their schedule?

Also, when the time comes that they can be scheduled for an interview already, do we have to mail them wet signed i485? or a digitally signed copies will suffice? That way, they can just print it there? Thank you

I-485 is for adjustment of status. I think you are referring to I-864, affidavit of support.

Yes, NVC will continue to work and DQ cases even though the issuance of the visas is suspended (unless your parents qualify for a waiver). When the embassy is able to schedule interviews they will contact the NVC and provide the appointment list for the NVC to book the slots for the applicants.
