Should I Email us consulate in Nigeria

I have a question, my husband had his interview on Monday  but the consular that interview him told him to find a co sponsor to fill i864 and I 864a . The issue is I qualify to sponsor him my gross income is 99,500 and i fill form I 864ez initially, I don’t know why they want another joint sponsor. Can I email them to ask for the reason ?

The CO has considered the totality of the circumstances of the case and has reached the conclusion that a joint sponsor is necessary to overcome the public charge issue.  You can send the consulate a message if you wish but the odds of you receiving any kind of specific answer to your question is low.

 

Others may echo the sentiment that I am about to write which is this:  you may find it easer to do what they ask and have a joint sponsor submit the required forms and documentation.

While I agree with Ryan's assessment, I would add that if we had more details about your affidavit of support, we might give different answers.  That the OP agreed so quickly, might indicate her own assessment has brought her to the same conclusion.

Initially I submitted 186EZ we had no problem with nvc over it . They gave him 2020 poverty guidelines and which state that we should get a co sponsor.
