Hi All,

First time poster, I would first like to say thank you to this this community. It has been extremely helpful in navigating our K1 process and it helps to know that other people out there are in the same situation and just want to be with their loved ones.

I am planning on meeting my fiancé in Brazil over Christmas. I am looking for anyone here that has had similar recent experiences. There are many hoops to jump through, and things are changing daily!

Here is what we have so far for requirements and procedures. I've also noted my questions. Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Davao--Manila--Istanbul--Sao Paulo

To leave Davao:

Barangay Clearance - What is the difference between LGU and Barangay clearance?

LGU Clearance - Davao is currently under GCQ, does that mean that an LGU clearance may not be issued?

Police Clearance

Medical Clearance - There will be no COVID swab test required? IATF Resolution 80 lifted the COVID testing requirement for outbound non-essential travel.

Transit In MNL Terminal 1 - Terminal 3

?- Is there anything required for this terminal transfer because technically they are leaving the airport via cab or grab and need to be screened again through security.

Istanbul Transfer

None

Arrival in Sao Paulo

None

Return to PH

Will we need to show accommodations at a quarantine hotel upon arrival back in Manila?

That is a good point, I was looking at the Philippine airlines page and it looks like a negative PCR test is all that's needed. It also looks like PAL might be covering some of the cost? https://www.philippineairlines.com/en/ph/home/covid-19/TravelingWithinThePH/Davao

I agree, the restrictions seem absolutely unreal from where I am sitting. I was talking with my fiancé and apparently she has to get an x-ray as part of a medical in order to get the BRNG/LGU clearance.

PCR test I get but......A full medical INCLUDING an X-ray, to get on a plane? I just don't understand the logic in all of this.
