I received a phone call today - i was not sure who it was from, all it said on the caller i.d was FLORIDA. I answered and a message said "please hold whilst we connect you to an agent" i hung up cause i thought it was someone trying to sell something.

Do you think it was uscis?

I filed through Dora in Dallas back in May, had bio in June....now waiting.

I did not get any automated messages. The call was from a local number. When I picked up, the lady asked to speak to me, and when I introduced myself, she did the same and told me that she was from the immigration services, that my case has been approved, and that I don't need to come to my appointment to apply for EAD/AP.

If anyone gets any update on their status please update us to anything....i was planning to make an appointmet for our EAD, seeing we are well past our 90 days of DORA..will the current issue of no dates available for DORA effect people who want to file EAD?

If I were you I would send your EAD application by mail to the Chicago lockbox if you don't want it delayed any more. When I was in Oklahoma City last week at my infopass appt. there was a notice on the wall telling people even for their AOS to mail it to the Chicago Lockbox because of long waiting times for infopass appointments. I guess it's up to you how long you want to wait.

I dont think the regular infopass appts are effected by the DORA rush. I was able to make an appointment for 17th of July. I received the 70th day letter yesterday. It instructed us to come to the local office on July 24th for EAD and AP application.

The letter said upon completion of biometrics we should receive the EAD in mail within 10 days. Does the biometrics appointment happen on the same day as the EAD application? How long does it typically take to get EAD in mail ( im guessing they dont give out interim EAD nomore)?

Please share your experience..my hubby needs to start work July 30th and we arent sure if we will have the EAD by then...Any ideas

Okay this really sucks.....let me get this straight, when you recieve your 70 day letter, they have already made an appointment for you to come and do your EAD and AP? so what do people like me do, who haven't recieved there 70 day notice?

So i'm going to apply for AP and i don't know what to do, i filed my AOS through DORA and haven't recieved a 70 day letter...do i submit my AP at the Dallas office or would i send it to Chicago? should i do E-file or mail in? Thanks guys. what time frame are we looking at for DORA people who after 90 days apply for AP is it expedited seeing we we're led to believe the 90 day goal of USCIS?

This program was around before it was called DORA and it was the same except one thing. They actually did it all that day. Yep that's right. When we went in in 2000 there was no infopass. We just got in line and got to the guard and said K1. Two hours later we went into a room and there were no questions. The guy just stamped it all and that was it. Green Card, Work Auth, and Travel Permit. She got the Card two weeks later. It was crazy and no one believed they did it. People thought I was crazy. Said no way they did that. I had found on a forum somewhere this information and got in that line at 4am and it was 34 degrees F. It was worth freezing my butt off.
