My husband did his interview on december 4th. The counselor told him that he needed a joint sponsor to get the visa. We were not denied , we just need to either show our assets are above the poverty guideline or we need to get an affidavit of support. I was told by the embassy in Trinidad to download the assets information and then I needed to send them an email once it is completed. Any advice? My assets are above the poverty quidelines. for 3 people I meet all the requirements because my assets are above it

My husband did tell them that I uploaded my assets on ceac . And I also emailed them to tell them that my assets were uploaded on the CEAC site. They replied back from the U.S. embassy to tell me that I had to reload it again because it did not appear. The assets are my 401k and my  savings account

Maybe it's best I wait for a joint sponsor then. Thank you!

Your 401(k) will not count unless you are at least 59 1/2 years old and no longer employed with that employer.  Are you at least 59 1/2?  Are you still employed with that employer?  If you are not at least 59 1/2, then you can not withdraw from it without a penalty, so it's not readily available and doesn't meet the I-864 requirements.  If you still employed with that employer, then there are limits to what you can withdraw, so it's not readily available and doesn't meet the I-864 requirement.

Did you list the saving account on the I-864?

Best to do what the US Embassy has requested.  Get a Joint Sponsor.

Get a joint sponsor. That saving just popped up will not be sufficient.
