Hi all,

can anyone share their own experience or share their knowledge on this matter?

London office is showing EB3 visas as current and no backlog and NVC APPROVED all my documents on the 29th of October.

I'm yet to hear back regarding a scheduled interview date? i assume these are taking place as london is out of lockdown so no reason why appointments shouldn't be going ahead. i understand they have reduced staff due to the tier system, but am i likely to get an interview scheduled in 2020 or should i be preparing for 2021

Actually both count against you, London is only doing emergency and mission critical visas https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/ , which it further clarifies as only categories IR/CR1/2, and E3 visas for healthcare professionals  https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/u-s-visa-and-travel-faqs/ , see section 3

and EB3 visas are currently banned under the presidential proclamations of April/updated June that ban all immigrant visas other than spouse/child of citizen and very limited other cases (such as healthcare professionals).

So very definitely sometime in 2021 unless you are healthcare.

Thanks both, I clearly had been reading it wrong. I thought EB-3 visas were still being processed hence the movement in my applications. its a shame I've got to this huddle like others and now its a long waiting game until things open up again. Fingers crossed come January Visas open up again :)

Everything is still being processed at uscis /nvc - it’s the part where the embassy schedules interviews that has ground to a halt.

Not again! So I'm guessing this last step ( the interview) isn't happening anytime soon :(

Well, possibly Biden might lift it earlier.  Unsure whether this is one of the ones he would target for early reversal.
If you were DQ late October, you will have a months-long queue in front of you in any case though (from both the Covid shutdown and the ban) so yep, any time soon seems unlikely... sorry.

SussieQQQ i thought it would be worth bring this conversation back up, as a lot has changed in recent weeks. I'm guessing now we're waiting on March 31st to see if biden extends the ban? not that it will help as the UK cant travel international until May at best

@sussieQQQ Any further developments on this subject? i received a generic email (60day) stating all my documents are qualified, I'm just waiting on an interview  appointment.

No change for employment based visas

Right now we have march out the way, I believe the ban hasn't been extended. Assuming now we just are dealing with backlogs and the embassy's to open?

Does anyone have an Idea when London US Embassy plans to resume Business as usual?
