Delivery issue with Fedex?

Hi everyone, sorry if this is a dumb question but I mailed out my 1-129f application on Saturday to the lewisville location using the address on the uscis website for Fedex deliveries. It was supposed to be delivered today but I see that there was a "delivery exception" saying a delivery attempt was made but "Customer not available or business closed". I was just wondering if anyone had run into this issue and what I should do? It says they will attempt again tomorrow but I don't know why tomorrow would be better if today didn't work. Thanks, I'm really stressed with this process already lol.

If you requested a signature upon delivery, then they cannot deliver the package until someone is there at the desk to sign........

If 1-2 days of waiting is stressing you out already...oh boy.

Be prompt with the tasks and responses on your end, but be prepared for a long wait from the government side.  This process will stretch your limits of patience.  This is a marathon, not a sprint.

Hahah thanks. Unfortunately, I stress easily. I think I was prepared mentally for the waiting on the government side of things but I was thrown for a loop on the delivery issue. From what I've read on the forum, I should expect about a month before the noa1, correct? Maybe longer because of the holidays?

Thanks! Assuming you completed the process, what was the most stressful part? So I can prepare myself mentally.

The waiting....and the "what if" thoughts.   Just try to keep a reasonable level of stress.  Don't over think........

next time dont waste your money on delivery signature. its a waste as USCIS just puts the automated signature . all packages go to a big box

Let me opine with this.

    • "the man with the gold makes the rules"
    • it will take as long as it will take
    • no one with any certainty can tell you when some process will be completed
    • Your sense of urgency will never be equaled to what USCIS, NVC or your embassy demonstrates
    • Your journey is not going to mirror someone else's experience - yours and theirs are not the same
    • They only promised you a YES or NO answer. Never an exact time that their decision would be completed
    • Lowering your expectations will make you a much more relaxed individual

You follow the above criteria, and you'll have a better go at. Good luck on your journey.

Talk is cheap, like the old saying goes. However, getting to understand the rest of the process will not only guarantee the success of your journey, but also, avoid more stress due to misunderstandings/ misinformation.

I’d suggest that you dedicate time to read quality information that will save you precious time and give you a chance to test the water, so you have time to revise and fix (if that’s the case) anything that may prevent you from getting an approval.

I used and I do recommend that you visit www.visatutor.com.

That’s a time saver and excellent source of information to get your packets perfectly done.

Have a great journey!
