I was reading something about them marching in front of a house and possessing a weapon and that being threatening, except, both of those actions are constitutionally permissible and not inherently "threatening". So despite the hysteria there's little you could do about it.

 

With cursory reading of the article and seeing a video within (listening to the protesters) it seems the issue here is basically people being obnoxiously loud at night. I don't hear any threats at all. I'd have called the police on them too for the noise if I was aware of any noise ordinances, regardless of what they were screaming and bullhorning about. On the bright side, the police here supposedly did something, unlike out west with Antifa and BLM regularly bullhorning neighborhoods and buildings at night and the police not caring whatsoever.

Interesting, so are the protesters in Seattle and Portland who are actually attempting to murder people simply rabble?  The fact of the matter is Michigan is an Open Carry state, and the protesters in this case were completely peaceful unlike the Leftist that tried to burn down the house in another area of MI.

They were outside the woman's home yell profanities at her, from the road, with a bullhorn in the dark of night asking her to come out and show herself. Would you stand for your wife being treated that way?

She is a statewide elected official.  She choose what she choose, and with that comes blowback.  People have the right to protest politically, but you seem to be suggesting this right should be curtailed.  Additionally the protesters were on public property obeying the law and in fact dispersed when asked to by the police without incident.  Hmm, I can think of some other high profile recent protests that didn't end as well.

I think first you need to make your mind up as to what your issue is before charging out and saving the princess.

Why would the police ask them to disperse?  Isn't it their right to use a bullhorn at night swearing at a public official outside their home?
