You're at the finish line so not sure why the lack of patience 😂😂😂 COVID-19 is affecting everything and slowing things down tremendously.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

It took us three years from applying IR-1 till got the visa, then 3 years permanent resident , N-400 took one whole year to the interview and now 8 weeks or even more for the passport.

And what is your question?

This is normal! In my home country took 3 months for me to get my passport, in not covid days.

And answering your tittle question: yes. Imigration is a waiting game and you are in the final phase. Enjoy it!

That's life. I am sure it's the same (or worse) in every country including your home country. There are rules and due process (on top of a pandemic) here which is why things can take longer than we would want them to, but USCIS has to deal with hundreds of thousands of cases a year.

What about the poor F4 category Filipinos who spend 19 years just waiting for a visa?!  Even non-over-quotas countries’ F3 and F4 take like 12-15 years for a visa. And then most people wait 5 not 3 years to become citizens! Many people would say you actually got off really lightly as far as immigration timeline is concerned....

Yes I am almost there, but the process took more than 7 years

My spouse is US citizen , 10 years ago while I was still in my country I tried to visit him because he was sick before applying for immigrant visa, I got rejected and the VO in the US embassy was so rude talking to me

Maybe San Diego is busier than other places.

I had my interview in San Jose, San Francisco is faster and they have the interview and the oath on the same day

It may have took more than 7 years but you're literally waiting on a passport now vs. people who still have a few years to go to get to where you're already at. In a grand scheme of things, you're in a better situation than so many people already.

I've had my tourist visa application rejected and I've also been subjected to interrogation like visa interview. This was all before I met my husband and at the time of the application, I didn't have any kinda American boyfriend whatsoever but was still accused of trying to overstay and work illegally. Unfortunately, this is not a unique experience. It happens to the best of us especially if we are from a country with high level of visa fraud or even to just come from a poorer country and the COs simply perceive that we want to chase the American dream.

I know now I am almost at the end of the tunnel but my concern now when I applied for the passport they took my original naturalization certificate not a copy !!!! documents always get lost in the mail
