Hello everybody, we had interview few days ago, so I want to share my experience. First she asked for my birth certificate, original and copy and for my ssn, passport and marriage certificate. She also took my husbands passport. She asked us for our financial situation, is everything same, we said yes. Then she asked us to tell her our love story, how we met, and get married. My husband said (and it was so funny to me) So I went to Serbia and we had mutual friend and she was there and we talked and I stayed there for 3 weeks and we hang out and she was awesome... and then I came back after two months, we went to vacation and I went back to Chicago, and then we had another vacation, and then I came again and then I asked her to come. She was denied for tourist visa and I told her that I want her to come here and be my wife... end of the story She said oook. Then she took my fingerprints and photo and asked those question about criminal history and then she told us that we are approved but she gave us a letter saying that case is on hold. I was confused, she said I just need  few more hours to fill up some documentation and by the end of the day you should see change in case status. And that how it was, my case status changed around 6 pm new card is being produced. And morning after, case was approved.

Yay!! Congratulations :)❤️

Hey all! I just sent out my WORK AUTHORIZATION EAD RENEWAL FORM. It was delivered to USCIS on Friday 1/22/21 at this address with UPS.

USCIS
Attn: FBAS
131 South Dearborn-3rd Floor
Chicago, IL 60603-5517

We ALSO filled out a G-1145, E-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance Form but still no word yet. I know it's only been 3 business days but when we sent in our AOS last year it only took them 3 days to notify us that they got it. Just wondering if anyone else experienced similar circumstances.

We just now got a text message confirmation and receipt number 2 hours ago regarding this EAD RENEWAL. Thank God, finally! They must be real backed up considering that our paperwork reached them by Jan 22nd and they're just now processing it (6 weeks later). Has anyone received  their new card? Just trying to gage how long it will take to get the new card (I didn't see an estimated processing time for EAD renewals on the USCIS website). Ours expires in July.

Hi!

We sent all of our paperwork in feb 2020 and are still waiting for our interview to be scheduled. Does anyone know how long New York City is taking to schedule interviews?

Also my husbands EAD is expiring in June. Should we apply to renew now ?  And is there a renewal fee ?

Any help and thought are greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Wow, finally! Hopefully it won’t be too long of a wait before we get it.

You can apply to renew as early as 180 days before it expires, so yes. If he’s adjusting his status from K1 and paid the fees, there is no renewal fee. Attached below.

We got the notification that interview was ready to be scheduled since Sept 2020, still waiting for the interview letter. Anyone in the Houston/Texas area waiting too? Is calling and speaking to tier 2 helpful?

Thanks to those who post their interview experience, SUPER helpful and congratulations!!!

I have been scheduled for an interview since 2/17 and have been awaiting my letter. I just chatted with a USCIS rep to see if the letter has been sent and it hasn't - frustrating, but I am glad I checked.

Hi! Have you received your interview letter yet? How long did you wait? Best of luck on your interview btw!

Hi,

Is there an updated or accurate checklist of what needs to be provided for a combo card renewal?  I've been searching the forum but i keep finding different answers.

Sorry that happened to you.

I don’t think we’re in the same situation. My husband did his biometrics March 17th - literally the day before everyone shut done for Covid on the 18th. His biometrics were applied to I-485, I-765, and AP.

Hi all I just got a notification saying that my interview was scheduled. Don't have details on date yet!
I wonder if the fact that I am still not working, nor do I have health insurance still could be a problem. I filed before the public charge rule and have a co-sponsor already.

I'm quoting myself just to drop this here:

I think public charge is no longer in effect

We are also Feb filers waiting for NYC :( Feels like forever.

My husband's EAD expires in July so we filed to renew the EAD in January. You should do it ASAP just to be safe. No fee, just make sure you indicate you have a pending I-485.
