I have finally received the awesome notification that my interview has finally been scheduled for April 28th. I am so excited to finally be heading to the finish line and now I need to prepare all the info.

I do have one question regarding the I693. My wife completed the DS3025 during the K1 Visa process and we applied for the I-485 well before the expiration of the DS3025. The DS3025 expired in Oct of 2020 does this mean she now needs a I693 or is that requirement not pertinent because we already made it this far.

I brought a copy of mine from when I completed it for the K1, but they didn’t even ask for it! I think you’re good and won’t need a new one! :)

So I called again and requested another tier two callback, because if my case is in an automated scheduling queue, the system still thinks my address is in Hartford (never was...), so I'll just be rescheduled at the wrong field office. Again. The best part is, I didn't move. I filled out the forms correctly (I have triple checked), the source of this due to someone not reading my form closely enough to realize I had a different mailing and physical address and entering my address incorrectly at the beginning (correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this happens at the lockbox?).

As of today, its been 2.5 weeks since our interview was cancelled, and our status still sits at "Interview Cancelled and Notice Ordered". At this point, this is negligence at best and malice at worst. Unfortunately, I don't think applicants have much recourse (not that I've really looked in to it), but I'm really starting to get tired of the incompetence.

That is such a hassle! Sorry to hear that you’re experiencing this. I am frustrated for you! I thought you moved during this whole process, that’s why you’re having problems with your address. Didn’t t know it was their error. Hopefully you’ll receive good news soon. 🤞🏻🙏🏻

Yes it's very frustrating and I feel entirely powerless. We've done every single thing we can think of to do to fix this issue (and yes, it's been a USCIS error from the start!!) but we've been met with resistance each time. I don't really understand why!

02/22/20 -- AOS package (I-130/I-485/I-864/I-765/I-131) sent to USCIS

02/25/20 -- Package delivered to Chicago Lockbox

03/17/20 -- Cheques cashed and text messages received

03/20/20 -- Received NOAs in the mail (I-130/I-486/I-765/I-131)

05/04/20 -- Received I-693 courtesy letter

10/11/20 -- Received biometrics notice (finally! Yay!)

10/21/20 -- Biometrics (I485/I765 Code 3, I-131 Code 2 in Hartford, CT)

10/23/20 -- Biometrics applied to all cases (I-485/I-765/I-131)

10/27/20 -- Case ready to be scheduled for an interview (location unknown 😅)

11/12/20 -- Second biometrics appointment (I-131, Code 2, in Pittsburgh, PA)

01/20/21 -- I-765 Expedite Request Submitted

01/29/21 -- I-765 Expedite Request Approved

02/01/21 -- I-765/I-131 Approved

02/16/21 -- Interview was Scheduled

02/17/21 -- Interview confirmed to be scheduled at the wrong FO, request to reschedule interview initiated

03/16/21 -- Interview cancelled, entered into scheduling queue for the correct FO

05/14/21 -- Interview rescheduled

06/25/21 -- Interview completed in Pittsburgh, approved on the spot 🙏❤️

Atlanta is so slow. PD 02/12/2020. No interview, No nothing. Case is received for over 430 days. Ready to be scheduled for over 350days.. Its frustrating

Hey there, I'm in the same boat and feel your pain! I saw that Atlanta's average processing time is stated as up to three years or something ridiculous like that. At least once we finally get our interview we might go straight to a greencard without conditions. I'll take that as a positive... In the meantime time to start worrying about renewing my work permit lol

We are also Feb filers waiting for NYC :( Feels like forever.

My husband's EAD expires in July so we filed to renew the EAD in January. You should do it ASAP just to be safe. No fee, just make sure you indicate you have a pending I-485.

We sent the renewal for EAD in and it was received at uscis on March 11. It’s April 6 and we still didn’t get the first noa. Is that normal ?

I think so... I sent mine March 3, received March 9. I only got the text messages April 2.

And it’s not fun waiting for a call back too. Takes a lot of time. Hopefully you’ll hear something about your interview soon! 🤞🏻

Hello everyone, I was wondering as someone had posted earlier..with the public charge rule gone does that mean my husband and I can apply for government assistance program for example subsidized health insurance plan and what not? We're both unemployed and health insurance would be nice.

Quick question guys. Can a GC holder be a sponsor. My friend makes good money but he is a GC holder and he wants to sponsor the affidavit of support (i864) for us. My wife lost her job due to covid last year. I (beneficiary) am the only one working..

Interview scheduled today PD 02/12/2020

Spoke with a USCIS rep and was informed that since my husband and I used a sponsor during our K1 process that the public charge rule still applies to us and we cannot apply for any government assistance program.

Green Card has arrived!

It’s crazy to think about how long this process actually takes. We filed for the K1 in April 2019. Two years later and the magical and mythical card is in hand 😂 Forever grateful for Visa Journey and all of your help here on this forum. Immigration wouldn’t be the same without you all 😅

Wishing everyone the best of luck throughout their journeys. Next stop, ROC!
