N-400 Tennessee filers

Hello. I haven’t seen too many Tennessee filers on the various monthly spreadsheets I have come across so this may be a long shot. But I would appreciate it if those of you who have filed your N-400 in Tennessee could kindly post your case progress here so the rest of us TN filers can get a rough idea of local processing times and what not. 
 

I filed my N-400 on Dec 12, 2020. I am hoping that my case will flow through the Nashville office. It wasn’t open as a full service office back when I completed my AOS and I had to do the brutal 12-hour round trip drive from Knoxville to the Memphis office for my interview!

Hi 👋 I'm from Nashville. Sent my documents on 01/19/21 (paper). Got my noa on 03/09/21 and biometrics reuse letter on 03/13.

Estimated completion date is January 2022(10 months).

Applied & case receipt notice : May 25 2020, filed via online application
Biometrics reuse notification : August 07 2020

No movement since

 

My local office is Memphis - I assume - since I live in Memphis. How do people know their "local" office - is this something one gets informed of by USCIS, or do you just guess by where's closest on the map? Wherever my local office is,  I have no clue whether my application has actually reached anyone's desk there. According to the online case status "It is being processed at our E-Filed Case Processing Section location.", whatever that means

 

Sometime last fall, my online status went from noting the Biometric Notice Issued (or something similar) back to "Case Was Received and A Receipt Notice Was Emailed"

 

My online case status - until last week - did show an expected completion of March 2021, now it doesn't have any date at all. I didn't have much faith in that date, but it was at least a date. Now it's very easy to feel like things are in limbo (even if I'm actually in the very same spot as countless others). I'm trying to be hopeful that these changes mean something is happening, not just that USCIS servers are acting glitchy.

Got notice of interview in the portal today. Does anyone know if Nashville does the oath there and then or after?

Many congrats, one Memphis based Anglo-would-be-American to another. I see you filed in November 2020 - the order in which they deal with cases seems unfathomable (I filed in May 2020). Still, this keeps hope alive that this office is doing something! Best wishes for your interview.

Just answering my own question for people who may be looking in the future.

The appointment was 2 months later than the original one. It took 4 or 5 weeks for them to reach back out to me and I was expecting a call but they actually just sent an email and the letter with the new date.
