Just as you said. Cr-1 and the I-129f or thr CR-1 by itself and don't follow with the I-129F.

Much easier and cheaper to just go with the I-130 and a MUCH,MUCH better visa than the K3.

Been there-Done that and wished we'd gone with the I-130 instead of the I-130- I-129f [K3].

It looks like the CR-1 process is fairily fast at this time if you have your act together and get the paperwork back promptly and correct without getting RFEs.

Depends if time is a big issue to you. For us we wanted to come home asap so K3 was the answer. CR1/IR1 will save you hassle later on, but will still take you longer to get your significant other here, probably by at least a month. K3 will save you from all the paperwork at the NVC with fee bills etc.

Yes, you can file only I-130 for CR-1 or I-130 for CR-1 and I-129F for K-3.

Sandfordandbonnie: Now a days, I-130 is getting approved sooner than I-129F. So it is hard to say that CR-1 process will be longer than K-3.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview
