Do you think contacting ombudsman will help expediting the biometric scheduling?

No. They will do anything JUST if your case out of posted processing times. I tried to do it...same with congressman and Senator.

Unless something went wrong and you're already beyond the "normal" processing time for your area, you'd basically be asking to cut the line and get in front of folks that have been waiting longer than you. If you are not sure where you are in line based on your date of filing, filter the following down to your processing location to get an idea: https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/citlist.php?cfl=&op5=5,10,11

F-1: 2003-2009

H-1B: 2009-2015

LPR: 2015 - 2021

Naturalized citizen: July 2021
