Hi, I have applied for my parents immigration to US. They are at present canadian resident and there case was approved by NVC on March-27-2007.

I know the next package they will receive will have medical and interview date at montreal US consulate , but my parents dont have any immuniztion records. They are citizen of India and moved to canada 2 years ago.

Also they cannot get any reoords from india. following are my concerns.

- Will they have to get the immunization shots during the medical screening

- will it delay there medical ?

- how should this problem be resolved without delaying their interview.

any help would be appreciated.

Also any idea when will their interview be scheduled ? its way over 2 months wait time.

There are two options,

Some medical facilities have a 'Titre' test available. This will test the blood for any anti-bodies already present. They would not need to be re-innoculated for anything that shows up.

The oher option is to get them down all over again. They can either do this before the medical with their doctor, or clinic and get appropriate documentation, or wait until the medical and get them there. Sometimes this will be more costly than the other options. Some of the vaccinations take more than one dose, so the panel physician will make a recommendation on this.

Good Luck
