I hear ya, Jen. My husband is 6'1, eats like a horse, doesn't workout and still wears size 32 jeans. Damn it! I on the other hand can gain 5lbs just looking at a piece of cake. It's hard to watch your weight when you have to cook rice, pasta or potatoes as part of dinner everyday. Oh and the fact that we always have cookies, ice cream and Cheetos in the house doesn't help either. :help:

Damn. You lot are making me hungry. Still, at least I've already decided on what today's lunch will be - the Jordanian place down the street will be getting my custom (yet again) without doubt!

2005 - We met

2006 - Filed I-129F

2007 - K-1 issued, moved to US, completed AOS (a busy year, immigration-wise)

2009 - Conditions lifted

2010 - Will be naturalising. Buh-bye, USCIS! smile.png

This is going to be a retarded question and I suppose I should know the answer especially because my hubby is British.......but what in the world is a Cadbury egg? Honestly I have no clue. what that is? Is the egg cooked in some special way or whats the deal with that?

Allah tries his chosen people through many hardships, but those who persevere through adversity, surrendering themselves before the will of Allah, shall be blessed with a superb reward.

-The Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as reported by Anas bin Malik

A time will come when the sky is torn apart; when the stars scatter, and the ocean drains away; and when the graves are tossed about, and laid open. At that time every man will be told what he has done, and what he has failed to do; and every woman will be told what she has done, and what she has failed to do.

Someone was asking me about the felafel tools -- these are special little gadgets that make it much easier to work with felafel dough, which is notoriously sticky. The end of the tool forms the dough into the proper shape, and then you use the "plunger" thing to dispense it directly into the hot oil.

You can get them in different shapes and sizes -- note the double-barreled one on the far right.

There used to be a Lebanese place around the corner from me that made absolutely wonderful falafel. I'm not sure what he did differently, but when the family sold the place to a new owner, the falafel just wasn't the same.

Thanks for the pics!

I can't wait to taste the difference between the falafel in Cairo and Alexandria. Apparently the falafel we have where I live is the kind that is made in Alex.
