Renunciation process with VFS

I recently became a US citizen.

I was going to apply for a renunciation certification and see that VFS is the new service provider, instead of CKGS. Their website and explanations are extremely confusing. To top it, they charge $2 per minute for phone calls - not a typo!

If any one has applied in the last 30 days (with VFS), had a few questions

- Does the US naturalization certificate copy have to notarized? The checklist just says copy but their FAQs imply that it should be notarized

- The checklist talks about including 2 photos and a digital upload of the photos as well. The government of india website doesn't ask for digital upload of photo. Where do you digitally upload the photos?

- How do I get courier to return my passport? Their website is extremely confusing and at times says, I need to enclosed preprinted label and other times says I can pay for courier return. My preference would be just pay them for courier return
