My fiance had her interview on March 3, everything went good and we are just waiting for the consulate to return her passport with a brand new flashy K1 visa in it

Congrats! We passed our K-1 interview on Feb 26th after filing in the summer of 2019... Still waiting for the passport to arrive in Shanghai at Citic Bank.  US TravelDocs Website says "Passport has been received from the consular section, and is currently being processed for delivery". Hoping they can ship on Monday.  Once we get the passport, we'll buy our plane tickets. Then we plan on going to Turkey in April for 14 days before landing in LAX.

Thanks! For other China K-1 people, it took less than a week to get their visas but for some reason, I've been waiting 9 days since the interview and still haven't received nor do I see they sent the visa out via EMS tracking.

I'm an original plaintiff.  I mailed the GZ consulate immediately and they told me the next day that they will resume processing for me. Then we got a call the following day asking us where to send P3.

Thank you for the reply. We sent the template email to Guangzhou Consulate, and hopefully we can get an answer soon.

We checked the status on NVC and we got this😭. We filled out the inquiry form on Guangzhou consulate website but still no reply.

Your case was at the consulate or NVC? If it was at NVC this is obviously an error. If it was at the consulate, then I’d say this is probably normal, and just wait for their response. I am an original plaintiff who was stuck at NVC. When the consulate requested all of our files be sent to them and then the next day they started calling all 6-7 of us to verify address to send P3, everyone’s case status, except mine, changed to refused. Mine stayed ready until after our interview. Theirs stayed in refused status until their visas were issued and mailed. So it’s probably nothing. They can’t refuse you until there’s been an interview anyway, so just wait for their email response. Also the consulate usually replies to emails around 1am eastern time to about 4am eastern time, and usually to the emails they received before 3pm eastern time the day before. So typically there is an 15 hour delay between responses. If you sent your email at like 8pm tonight (Wednesday) for example, they wouldn’t respond to you until Monday most likely. But before 3pm Wednesday they would respond to you by 3am Friday morning.

Thank you for the reply. Mine is stuck at NVC right now. We contacted NVC right after knowing we were added to the plaintiff and NVC replied that they will forward our case to Guangzhou. Then we also contacted and got a reply from the consulate. However, we don’t know why the latest status says “refused”...

Don't panic, this may be because your case is being processed.  I am a Milligan plaintiff also and I had this happen to me.  I noticed that after my case made it to the consulate my status changed to Refused and stayed that way all the way up to the day after my fiance had her interview. Her passport with her visa in it is scheduled to be delivered on 3/13 via EMS. I did some reading after first seeing the refused status and found that CEAC often uses Refused instead of Administative Processing.

Hi, my interview is finally scheduled. However, when I registered on the Ustraveldoc website for the interview, I was never asked to pay for the fee. Is that normal?

We paid the fee by going to schedule appointment > immigrant visa. You can then pay the fee without actually scheduling an appointment.

To get the confirmation page we went to schedule appointment > Immigrant Visa-Scheduled by NVC-Registration Only. For some reason it doesn't ask you to pay the fee when you choose this option.
