Good day house,

My husband filled i-130 forms for my daughter and I early November and today I saw the below update when I checked USCIS case status for my child but mine still remained  case received in November.

Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS

As of December 2, 2020, we are actively reviewing your Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, Receipt Number .......

Our records show nothing is outstanding at this time. We will let you know if we need anything from you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschangeto give us your new mailing address

Please what does the above mean and why is my application not updated too.

Thank you everyone.

Ah ok, sorry for the confusion I reread your original post 😊 yes it looks like your child’s case is being actively reviewed. I have seen other members mention some family members being approved before the other when two petitions have been submitted...although I’m not 100% sure how this works.

There are separate petitions for you and for your child.  They are separate cases that may be reviewed independently of each other.  When both petitions are approved, you may request them to be linked when you get to NVC stage.
