Does anyone else have an issue with their 2019 tax transcript not being downloadable?  I filed and paid the taxes in July by the deadline, but there's still no 2019 tax transcript.

Is it just me?  Is it everyone?  If it's just me, how do I obtain it?

Thanks!

Same here.

I filed by mail, they cashed my check a few days later endorsed by the US Treasury back in July.

I called IRS finally got hold of person, they told me this is due to COVID and it should be taken care of by December, I spoke with them about a month ago.

Yeah, we filed a paper return (couldn’t do electronic due to being dual-status alien) back in March and still nada. They were quick to cash our taxes that were due, though 🤷🏼‍♂️

A joint tax return/transcript would have been essential for my ROC I-751 application. Thanks, IRS...

Getting there, slowly but surely...  (I hope )

We filled our tax return for 2019 on July and we got a letter from IRS to send them our W2s and the copy of our filled tax return.  We mail them all the papers and until now there's no update. We mailed them again yesterday all the papers they needed. Assuming they didn't get the first one. My parents just got approved last week and now doing the NVC part. So my question is do I have to wait for the 2019 tax return transcript? Or is it okay  to use my 2016 to 2018 records and just send my recent W2s and paystubs  and letter explaining  that 2019 Is still pending?

Let me give you and update:

I called the IRS on November 2nd and asked why my tax transcipts wasn't available online. I paid/filed my taxes by mail in July and they cashed my check.

November 2nd they said it was due to COVID, which sounded fishy to me but I thought ok and said it would be taken care of my December.

I called yesterday and was told they have my returns and for some reason there is an issue with them getting them posted so I can get a tax transcripts.  They said on November 19th they started working on the issue and I was told it could be 4 to 16 weeks before the issue is taken care of. I asked for specifics but they couldn't furnish them.

So if your tax transcripts is still not showing up, I suggest calling them.  Google getting hold of live person at IRS for phone tricks to get hold of a live person, I had to wait on the phone for over 30 minutes to finally get hold of a live person.

Still nothing for us regarding the tax transcripts. The message from My Account on IRS website is gone where it says that “you didn’t file a tax return”, but other than that, still waiting.

I am back to being unemployed after a seasonal job finished, and that second stimulus would have helped a lot. Now we’ll have to wait until we file for our 2020 taxes instead...

We sent in a request for tax transcripts over a month ago, and the I-751 can be filed as of today (1/8/21).  I am concerned that filing the i-751 without the transcripts is going to generate RFE and delays.... Anyone have any insights/comments/suggestions ?

Sorry, don't have any suggestions as we are pretty much in the same situation. I am thinking our I-751 is going to land us an RFE as we couldn't include 2019 tax returns/transcripts with our package. We did put a picture of check cashed by IRS from our online banking and added some pertinent pages from our filing with TurboTax, and explained the situation with a statement. However, I am afraid that these documents are not going to hold much weight for USCIS.

Removing conditions does not mandate a tax transcript or proving sufficient income.  That would be just one piece of evidence showing you commingle finances with your spouse.

From comments earlier in this thread, a lawyer said that USCIS is asking for tax transcripts as evidence of filing as opposed to just 1040 forms.   The reality is that the IRS is backlogged and hasn't been able to provide transcripts.   The concern i have is that USCIS will want to see the transcripts to prove filing as opposed to the copy of the signed 1040 and certified mailing information proving delivery.  My wife files electronically and doesn't actually have signed 1040s as a result. so. it is what it is as this point.

Our removal of conditions packet was an inch thick, there is a ton of evidence of commingling finances.

Then you are probably fine without a transcript.

I’m in the same boat, due to the back log. My husband does his electronically so it’s not signed either, and no transcript. I only have the 1040 and W2 for my interview next week. I’m wondering if I should have him sign the 1040 and scan it to me, because when I submitted all my documents for approval they weren’t signed and I got through to the interview stage. Im confused. He had his tax preparer sent over the confirmation that it was sent electronically last year. Should that also be good enough to show if they ask.
