Hello,

My wife is a USC and we are going to file I-130 and I-485 concurrently for my AOS. She is my sponsor however her income doesn't not meet the poverty guidelines, so we are going to file an I-864a to include her mother's income, since we are living in her parents house. However, her parents file their tax return jointly, so we don't know if we have to include her father as a household member and file an I-864a for him as well or if that is only optional.

Thank you.

I am no expert but I would lean towards including an I-864A from your father-in-law as well.  We recently filled one out and it is a pretty simple form, can't hurt to include it and may even help avoid an RFE.  Good Luck!

That's what we are going to do, it's just one more simple form. Thank you and good luck to you as well!
