Hey!

I am a bit confused with tax documents, requirment is 3 years tax, but I have just 2018 and 2019 because I am resident since april 2018 and had nothing to file before it, so my date is opens Jan 1st, is anybody in the same situation, how did you solve it? File with 2 years and bring 2020 on intrview or just wait till file 2020?

Im going under 3y rule as spouce.

Thank you so much!

You came and then married May 2017

you should be as spouse on 2017 tax returns even if you could not work yet

so,  married 3 years ,  they expect to see 2017, 2018 and 2019 tax returns for you and spouse

I dont have anything for 2017 because we technically were residents of different states, so he filed separately, and I had 0 income and 0 return, I tried to file, but failed because I had nothing

Not sure about this one, but if there is no reason for rushing things and getting maybe denied and lose your fees, can't you wait one month till January to file your N400? Don't know about you but I get my W2s usually within the first 5 days of the new year. If you file your taxes on Turbotax or H&R the first days of January, at least you will have your 1040 or whatever you do and then should be able to file the N400 immediately even if you don't have the final tax transcript yet? In these covid days frankly the timelines seem to be so random that frankly if you wait 4 more weeks I don't even know how much that will impact the process end date. Some people filed back in January 2020 and are waiting for interviews and some even for biometrics still, while others applied during the actual lockdown online and are completely done already.

You already missed the new civics test versus old civics test deadline which was December 1st I believe. And there are no fee increase deadlines (anymore for now), so January isn't that far away to make sure you have everything unless you have some other personal reasons to rush now.

Says in your profile you got your permanent Status on 04/18/2018. Your 90 day window opens up on 01/18/2021.I would wait the extra few weeks because you would probably get a RFE for them anyway and that would slow down your case. sending your package without them now and getting the RFE later I think the time would work out in your favor by waiting a few weeks till your taxes are done and then submit your package. I got my transcript like a week after my taxes were accepted.
