Hi everyone,

I'm just curious if anyone has more of real and practical experiences in comparing all 5 service centers's processing time. I did look up the official processing time of each center through their website and got the information. But I would like to get ideas of you who really experienced this and share which center you feel processes cases the fastest/slowest. Please share especially about Vermont Service Center (EAC) processing time. :)

They go back and forth about processing

and don't forget,   if a case is sent from one to another for faster processing ,  that case will show as done for that office (upsetting the stats and timelines)

I figure it will be mid 2021 before we can get reliable processing speed......it's crazy, crazy long right now.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

  • 1 month later...

I've scanned through this and other forums and compared the approval dates of people who were approved at the Vermont Service Center. From what I see, it seems they're averaging about 6-8 months for approval. The processing time seems to be trending down for the most recent approvals that I've seen. This is evident even on the USCIS website where you can check the processing times.

Thank you very much. I just wish my case could be transferred. It seems that once your case got transferred, it got approved within 3 months... at least that’s my observation.
