I submitted form I-129F in February of this year. On the form I listed the information for my fiancee's twelve year-old daughter. It was my understanding that that was all I had to do to start the visa process for her daughter.

Today, I received an email from the U.S. embassy in Santiago, Chile with a letter for my fiancee instructing her on what she needs for her visa interview. It doesn't mention her daughter in the letter and we're worried that she might not have been included in the process. I have attached this letter for reference.

There is this section in the letter (translated from the Spanish):

FIRST: To start the process, each visa applicant must complete and bring the following forms on the day of their interview:

A) DS160 APPLICATION FOR NON-IMMIGRANT VISA, https://ceac.state.gov/GenNIV/Default.aspx for each applicant, with a photograph whose specifications are detailed below. Bring proof.

B) https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-cl/iv

So, does that mean that this is the only notification for both of them, and they just both need to fill out the application online? Or will I receive another letter for the daughter, and we should wait for that? Will they both have separate interviews, or will they both go together, or does only my fiancee need to go?

Thanks for any help.

K1 and k2 process is exactly the same.  Each applicant follows the instructions.   In your situation you have two applicants

YMMV

No, I haven't filed the DS 160 application for either my fiancee or her daughter yet. I see that that is what that link in the part that I posted is for, so I will do that for both of them. Thank you for your help.

Typically, the NVC will have two case numbers. So, check the letter from them. One will be your fiancé's which will end in XYZXXXXXXXXXX 01 and the other will be the child and will be the same as mother but with 02 as the designation at the end. If both were on the I-129f, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e) application then complete the DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application for both and proceed with the same documents.
