The contortions I'm witnessing to avoid actually having to agree that a) the Trump legal team never alleged widespread election fraud in court and b) the Trump-appointed Attorney General has said that he has found no evidence of widespread or election-altering fraud in the 2020 election is staggering.

In the face of all the evidence, if you're still denying the legitimate outcome of this election, and if you're hanging on "the AG said they haven't found fraud *yet*, you are the victim of a cult of personality. There is no fraud, the election wasn't stolen, Trump is the loser of this presidential election. Be an adult and seek help.

kinda funny that so far, a month after the election, no lawsuits managed to prove that there were

1. widespread fraud

2. even non-widespread fraud

3. or if any of the above happening that could overturn an election.

now staunch supporter moved the goal posts again. and then claiming "something is a mess", but where is the evidence? why even after 1 month, no court cases had proved of such thing.

and they conveniently not want to talk about the same dumb claim of 2 million illegal voters back in 2016 - from the same guy, even after he won the election and his opponent quickly conceded.

In the press, the Trump legal team, and Trump himself, claim fraud. Inside the courtroom, where lying has consequences, they have not argued fraud.

yeah that's the thing, in one of the threads here, there was a twitter post of so called "affidavit" trying to cast doubt on GA result - but even GA Sec of State, and even GA Gov (both are GOP), said no such evidence of fraud, and those who claimed to have the "affidavit" as a proof, never took it to court anyway. Why bother claiming you have any affidavit but had never made your case, unless this is just a ploy to continue grifting your supporters to donate, but it is quite damaging to the system that elected their Senate Majority, and other congress members.

not sure what level of delusion these people are having.

also in terms of lying, false stories, and the truth, AGolf Twittler supporters here would make it a big deal if anyone is caught lying (especially for any Dems, libs and supporters) but when GOP members, especially the Dear Leader AGolf Twitler himself, caught lying day in and day out, they quickly resorted to mental gymnastics - "See you don't know him, that is his way", "Everyone lies, so why would you care so much?", "I dont read his twitter, why are you so hung up on his dumb tweets?"

Gosh, but those people would definitely care if Dems got caught lying , or running with false stories.

Imagine the collective rage-of-a-thousand-suns brain explosions on the far right if there had even been a rumor that Obama had been planning to pardon himself. Or Hillary.

Sidney Powell found out that lying outside of court impacts your status with the Bar as well.

Um, this seems like it could backfire: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-election-2020/sidney-powell-trump-georgia-election-rally-b1765389.html

Quote

Sidney Powell, the conspiracy theory pushing lawyer who formerly represented Donald Trump's legal challenge to the 2020 election results before being fired by the campaign, led a rally-like press conference in Georgia today to protest the state's election results.

Supporters of Ms Powell gathered in Atlanta for a "stop the steal" rally. Lin Wood, an Atlanta based attorney and supporter of Mr Trump, joined her and led the crowd in a "lock him up" chant directed at the state's Republican governor, Brian Kemp.

At least one supporter at the rally was seen carrying a literal pitchfork.

Both Ms Powell and Mr Wood said that conservative votes would not be secured in the upcoming runoff election between Republican Sens. Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue against Democrat challengers Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff, respectively.

Has the bar actually taken action? I hadn't heard.

Still, it's one thing to lie to the media, and another to bald-face lie to a federal court judge. You might get censured by the bar if you lie in public; you could be thrown in jail for lying to a judge.
