Estimated case completion time

hello everyone!

 

so I applied for naturalization on June 30, 2020 and it had an estimated completion time of November 2020 and 2 months later it changed to December 2020.

 

currently it still says:

Estimated case completion time

December 2020

last thing they sent me was about the "Biometric reuse". on August 7, 2020.

 

how likely is it that I will hear something this month?

Hard to tell

estimated case completion time can be very unreliable

I would take those dates with a grain of salt.

They might show you a rough estimate but not a correct one.

In my personal case it makes no sense. I have my Oath Ceremony tomorrow (12/02/2020) and my USCIS account shows completion as February of 2021. 

My USCIS account shows updated and correct actions (interviews and all) but the date of completion is out of whack.

I naturalized over a year ago and my myuscis account still says:

Estimated wait time:

We are taking longer than expected to process your case. You do not need to do anything at this time.

 

 right below the update  that says “Certificate Of Naturalization Was Issued”. So yeah, take estimated times with a big bucket of salt!

Estimated time doesn't mean much these days.

For me, I went beyond my estimated time a lot
