Channeling the @Eu_Sou_Douglas energy and was checking USCIS every day this week in case of surprise movement...just about dropped my computer on the floor when I saw our case was approved!

Here's the full details of this petition for reference, and I'll add to the spreadsheet:

April 21, 2021 Case Was Approved
April 20, 2021 We ordered your new card.
March 8, 2021 The fingerprints relating to your Form I-751 Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, were taken.
December 23, 2020 We received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence.

SRC center I assume?

You know it! I understand USCIS is still operating under a hiring freeze, curious to know why SRC seems to be moving at lightspeed compared to other centers.

It's REALLY pissing me off. It's really unfair that one service center has movement while all others are just sit there. I am fine waiting, even the 18+ months it can take, but to see so many get approvals out of just one place sucks big time for the rest of us

I am not a expert on this things but I am just assuming most legal immigrants they initially move to big cities, mainly located on the east or west coast. Texas service center handle cases in the south and mid west mostly, so I am assuming they receive less cases and maybe the majority are not CR1, so maybe that is the reason why it’s faster. Add the pandemic and the delays get even worst. It’s like if you go to get your Drivers license at a big city office, you are gonna be in line for a long tine, but if you travel to a nearby town it might take minutes because is not as busy. Is it fair? No, but it is how it is.

But they do shift work around to alleviate work loads, but they aren't doing this the last few months. Just one center is just tearing through piles of applications.   I don't mind the wait, but I hate seeing what looks like neglect.

I feel your pain, for my original AOS I was at NBC and had a long wait of almost 2 years. So I know how it is, unfortunately there is nothing we can do but wait.

Interesting perspective. Looks like only one person at SRC (at least who entered their service center) is a CR1, so that might say something. Everyone at MSC is a CR1.

That said, Texas has three of the top 10 cities by population in the US and Phoenix is #5. SRC is getting a lot of 'big cities' too.

Yikes, I know the Visa Journey estimated approval time frames are based off those that actually out info on the page, but yikes....I was hovering between December 2021 and February 2022, and just now I got an email of May 18, 2022. LIN has been pretty much doing nothing (based on October-February groups). Is there a way to turn off that notification? I really rather not ride that roller coaster for however long this is gonna take .

Hello!

My application was received on December 23rd at the SRC location, and I haven't heard from USCIS since their receipt notice. Today, I gave them a call to see where i'm at. They let me know that they recently open up their biometric appointments, and I should receive a notice for that soon. I am going to move down to Houston in June, and I am nervous that I wouldn't be able to make it in time. Is there a way to get your fingerprints waived?

Hello,

Just wanted to share my timeline. I applied for removal of conditions on December 2021 and just got a letter in the mail saying that as of 04/30, they’re using my old biometrics. I’m hoping to get my card within 5-6 weeks! I’m at CSC location.

Hello! Just wanted to share our timeline. Our petition was received in December 17th and on March 23rd our biometrics were waived.  As of today, May 17th, we received the card! Completely surprised as we weren’t expecting anything for probably another year. SRC location. Best of luck to everyone!!

Hello! Just wanted to share our timeline. Our petition was received in December 17th and on March 23rd our biometrics were waived.  We didn’t hear anything else until we saw on our USPS mail preview that something was in the mail from USCIS; our hearts sank but we hopped online and it said our card had been sent out! We never got a text or email like we had previously and as of today the card is in our possession! Completely surprised as we weren’t expecting anything for probably another year. Best of luck to everyone!!

Congratulations! I can imagine how you feel.

It's hard waiting for such a long time. We had bio Dec 9 2019 and are waiting since. June 14 my last card update will expire. So tomorrow I'm gonna call to get scheduled for Infopas and see that I get an extension stamp. Again, Congratulations with your greencard, worth a party!

Regards,

Jozias
