Hi, so my interview is next week.. on the yes/ no questions( can’t remember the name of the form) I answered “yes” to the question which asks if you violated your immigration status in any way. I answered yes as I overstayed my esta.. a work colleague went for the interview and they asked her that question and she answered no.. she came here as a kid and only jut now coz adjusted status thru marriage. She said her lawyer told her to say no... but when I filled out my paperwork I asked on here and someone said to say yes as they will know that I overstayed anyway so better to say yes than lie and say no.. should this be something to be worried about at the interview? If I say yes at the interview I mean..

Well, you are sworn in for the interview and have to answer the questions honestly.  I expect they may ask you about it.

Good Luck!

Yes I think they will. I mean I’m just going to be completely honest anyway. I didn’t come to the country With intentions of staying and i have return flight tickets to prove that. Yes I know over staying wasn’t the right thing to do but I believe everything happens for a reason and if I went home when I was supposed to I wouldn’t have my son right now.

You should be fine as overstays are forgiven for spouses.
